The last issue of KERA: The June 2017 edition. Released in April.
So some sad news. KERA magazine ended its 20-year run. This, of course, means the end of Maya’s “My Universe” segment. Which is sad, it offered fun short little insights into Maya’s thoughts and interests, the translation I’m working on is about his Highschool baseball fandom. It’s cute.
The one silver lining I suppose this gives me some time to catch up on the massive backlog that has accumulated. Since it seems LM.C has taken a break from magazines and interviews while they’re doing their tour and working on a bunch of other Live Performances.
Don’t know how many of you are fashion buffs, but it seems like many are citing a failure to change with the times as part of KERA’s downfall. I guess between shifting tastes to “Fast Fashion” and an overall “gentrification” of Harajuku, in general, it couldn’t compete, at least that’s the word going around. Don’t know how true that is, but that’s what I’m hearing.
I hear they’ll be launching some new stuff on their revamped website, so maybe this isn’t the end? Let’s hope.
While I’m not a huge fan of Kera’s fashion sense, most of it was too gaudy for my taste, there were things and models I liked. And I loved Maya’s segment of course. Perhaps LM.C will get another segment in another magazine. We’ll see.

RIP – Kera
So long, My Universe, you will be greatly missed.
In other news, LM.C finished their 26 episode radio show, Radio the LM.C. Check out all episodes on Itunes and other podcast apps.
