Here I am with the final part of “Let’s Listen to”! This time the subject is the 19th single from the freakiest visual kei duo Lm.C, named Rainmaker and released today. The second work of this year, after the single MONROEwalk, it is the second chapter of their new era, linked to the celebration of their tenth anniversary as band, an incredible goal for them. And now… let’s review!
-Rainmaker: the title-track is an animated and well rhythmed pop-rock song, where Maya’s vocals are probably the best highlight; in this pop-rock ballad we can see a strong passionality, typical of Lm.C’s best works, which seem that they maintained a lot. —> 9/10
-Hidarimimi no pierce (Pierce of left-ear): the b-side of this single has a strong electronic presence, a feature of this band in the recent years; the rhythm initially starts slow, with a presence of violins, then it becomes more triumphant and relevant, for a pretty peculiar song for this band, ending an interesting single. —> 9/10
Final Vote —> 9/10
In conclusion, after having shown their freakiest side with MONROEwalk, Lm.C comes up with a softer and more composite single, with two tracks developed in an emotional and deep manner. Even if it cannot be the best work of the duo, it represents well their passional and energetic style, in all its shapes, made by a potent voice and engaging melodies. Shortly Rainmaker is another confirmation of Lm.C’s exquisite talent, well developed in these ten years. A single for who is addicted to Lm.C’s passionate energy.
That’s all folks! See you tomorrow for another time-travel in “Throwback Thursday”!
